Craig Hattle from the Institute of Directors will share his expertise on the fundamental roles and responsibilities of effective leadership across a range of governance settings. Kelly Marriner, Charlotte Littlewood and Michael Braggins will be sharing their personal leadership stories with TYP’s aspiring leaders.

Craig is currently the Board Chair of the Advantage Business group nationally and has been responsible for the group’s internal governance review process. He has been heavily involved in the development of the Applied Governance programmes in use by group advisors with SME clients across New Zealand. He is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors and has held positions on a variety of different boards and advisory boards, with companies in engineering, seafood processing, airfreight and logistics, heavy vehicle parts and services and in horticulture. After taking an Agricultural Science Degree, Craig worked as an Agronomist until he had the opportunity to buy into his own business, and spent a decade growing the family group of businesses in the fresh-cut flower trade. He took on his first non-executive board position at Hallmark Flowers in the UK, a Directorship held for several years, during which time he completed his MBA. He also serves on the Okato Cooperating Parish council, where he is responsible for the property and asset management portfolio.

A fourth generation to live in Central Taranaki, Kelly returned back to the province to commence a career in law in 2000 having graduated from Victoria University of Wellington with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Japanese. Kelly is a Partner in the law firm Parker and Marriner Lawyers, Hawera, specialising in Criminal and Family Law. Kelly is also the South Taranaki representative for the Taranaki Family Court Users Committee.
